About

Dr. Enriquez

My name is Nina Enriquez. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Texas State Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. I earned my doctorate of social worker at USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. For the last 14 years; I have focused on my career in end of life, grief, loss, and bereavement. In 2019, I worked closely with suicide loss survivors and noticed a pattern of cultural norms impacting the healing process for Latinos. I became determined to reduce the loss of support systems survivors of suicide loss experience and re-define cultural norms traditional Latinos may impose which can create barriers to seek help. This website is to provide support but most importantly, to send the message that you are not alone and should not be alone as you grieve a tragic loss. Juntos Nos Ayudamos/Better Together provides awareness and knowledge but also a platform to share the struggles one experiences trying to manage the suffering and pain of losing a loved one to suicide.

Kindred Spirit Latino Center for Grief and Loss is located in Pharr, TX. We are at the southern tip of Texas, 10 miles from the Mexican border.
